How much time do I need to be able to have a strong command in German?

Being fluent in German depends on your effort and motivation which you need to bring with you to class. It also depends on the nature of courses and whether they are intensive or not. However, 8 months is the maximum amount of time required and for this reason, it is recommended that students take up to 8 courses in the German language.
