Since its establishment in 1970, the Modern Language Center has been committed to building an exceptional academic team dedicated to excellence. Our center is proud to host a distinguished group of highly qualified instructors, all specialized in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL) and equipped with decades of experience in guiding learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Volunteer Experiences for International Students in Jordan
At the Modern Language Center, we offer our Arabic-for-non-native learners a meaningful cultural experience through voluntary community activities.
Our international students participate in programs with Tkiyet Um Ali, helping prepare and distribute food parcels to families in need. They can also visit refugee camps and elderly care homes in Jordan after obtaining the required permits.
These activities are optional, yet they provide students with an inspiring opportunity to connect with Jordanian society in a genuine and impactful way.
Modern Language Center Graduation – Your Moment to Shine

It is the moment we celebrate our students’ achievements after a semester filled with learning, friendships, and unforgettable experiences. At the end of every course, we host our special “Day of Achievements” ceremony, attended by the founder and owner of the Modern Language Center, Mr. Faris Awad, along with teachers and distinguished guests. During the event, certificates are awarded to the successful students in an atmosphere full of pride and joy.
And as the celebration begins, emotions start to mix…
After weeks of studying, exploring Jordan’s most beautiful sites, discovering a new culture, and adapting to new traditions—the moment of farewell approaches. It’s a day where the happiness of graduation blends with the bittersweet feeling of preparing to return home, carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
It’s more than just education… it’s a complete journey.

Cuisine is more than food — it’s culture and life itself
At Modern Language Center, learning a language is more than just classroom instruction — it’s a full cultural experience.
Through our in-house kitchen, international students enjoy authentic Arabic meals while exploring the true flavors of Jordanian cuisine. We also organize special workshops where students learn how to prepare traditional Arabic dishes and famous oriental desserts.
During national and religious occasions, we bring the spirit of celebration to life by serving seasonal specialties and offering hands-on activities for making traditional sweets such as Ma’amoul and Kanafeh, allowing students not only to learn the culture, but truly live it.
An experience to taste, live, and remember.
