Arab and Islamic Culture Studies
The environment of the Modern Language Center is a dynamic environment that promotes Arab and Islamic culture and brings students closer to it.
The Modern Language Center always carries out activities and events that reflect the Arab and Jordanian culture, and provides Jordanian language partners for non-Arabic speaking students to practice Arabic with them and learn the Jordanian culture on the ground.
The Arab and Islamic Culture Studies course teaches students about Jordanian customs and traditions of generosity and good treatment of the guest, and teaches them about national events, religious occasions, Jordanian and popular cuisine, music, fashion, sports, and profiles of Jordanian and Islamic history.
The Arab and Islamic Culture Studies course focuses on what distinguishes Jordan from the homogeneity and intermingling between its culture and the cultures of the surrounding countries: Syria, Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon.
As part of these courses, the Modern Language Center takes students on trips and tours around the capital, Amman, and Jordan, and they get to know Jordan and its culture closely, such as Petra, Aqaba, Wadi Rum, Mount Citadel, the Roman Amphitheater, Karak Castle, Rabdh Castle, and other wonderful places.
